We initially began our relationship with Dreamworks while working with the award-winning British Animation house, Chapman Entertainment. Founded by Keith Chapman (of Bob the Builder fame), Chapman Entertainment found huge success in its first cartoon releases, Rory the Racing Car and Fifi and the Flowertots. At their height of popularity, they were producing over 200 episodes a year.

As Chapman Entertainment grew, Arch was brought in to assist with the increased demands on their existing hosting and server capacity. We worked with their in house team to create an efficient service for the hosting of their key cartoon’s websites, allowing them to increase their userbase, and retain strong engagement with users online.

TOur partnership with Chapman Entertainment deepened when they approached us to help improve audience engagement through email. In response, we developed a bespoke solution called Dispatch—a secure, high-capacity file sharing service tailored for animation and production teams. Long before cloud-based file sharing became standard, Dispatch enabled Chapman’s teams to exchange large files instantly and securely, replacing their outdated reliance on USBs and hard drives. This marked a significant leap in both productivity and collaboration for their creative workflows.

Building on the success of Dispatch, we were later engaged to create a marketing automation tool to support Chapman’s growing online audience. The result was The Chapman Mailer, a powerful platform that allowed the marketing team to build rich media email templates, generate targeted mailing lists, and stay connected with fans through personalised communications. We integrated our own analytics and data management engine to track viewership trends and engagement in real time. When Chapman was acquired by DreamWorks, both Dispatch and The Chapman Mailer continued to play a key role—scaling with the new parent company and underpinning communication across production and marketing teams alike.
