We worked with Tip Tap to scope and solutionise a platform that reimagines the tipping experience for both customers and hospitality teams. Through a focused discovery process, we mapped out the needs of three key user groups—patrons, staff, and managers—and designed a mobile solution that balances ease of use with business value. This early collaboration helped define a clear product vision, feature roadmap, and implementation approach aligned with Tip Tap’s ambition to drive better recognition, morale, and financial transparency across the service industry.
The result was a cross-platform Flutter app built to make tipping fast, fair, and frictionless. Patrons can scan a QR code to instantly tip and rate staff, with no sign-up required. Staff receive secure, direct payments without the hassle of splitting tips, while managers gain access to insights that support performance-based decision-making. Key features include geolocation functionality, Stripe integration, multi-platform login, and a premium subscription offering for business owners—all scoped and defined in close collaboration to ensure strong market fit and scalable delivery.
